This assessment is required of all HCI students advancing beyond the introductory courses in this program (Intro to the Profession, Spanish Medical Terminology, and Spanish for Spanish Speakers).
After purchasing the assessment you will receive an email from our testing partner, Alta, within 72 hours (longer if the school is closed for holidays). Once you receive the email you can take the test anytime within 30 days. It is automated and by phone, there will be speaking and listening but no medical knowledge is needed.
You must have a score of 9 or above before enrolling in HCI Skills 1 and 2. You will receive your score typically within a week of taking the exam. Please make sure to give yourself plenty of time so you can take the test and receive a score before HCI Skills 1 begins.
