Diversity represents the full spectrum of human demographic differences -- race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status or physical disability. The world's increasing globalization requires more interaction among people from diverse cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds than ever before. People no longer live and work in an insular marketplace; they are now part of a worldwide economy with competition coming from nearly every continent. For this reason, profit and non-profit organizations need diversity to become common practice, woven into the organization and not treated as a separate entity. However, if your organization, like many, has not really addressed diversity and equity then a focused, intentional, managed approach is needed. Maximizing and capitalizing on workplace diversity is an important issue for management today.
Course objectives include:
- Identify challenges and goals for diversity and inclusion
- Examine bias and stereotypes and their impact on the work environment.
- Consider intentional strategies to foster diversity & inclusion: time, space and purpose
You will receive unlimited access to the interactive course.
